As I told you yesterday, we are going to study the SECOND CONDITIONAL. I am going to give you some explanations and examples about how to use it.
We use the second conditional to talk about hypothetical and imaginary situations in the present or future and its consequence. For example:
- If I had more money, I'd buy a bigger house (hypothetical/ imaginary situation).
- If I had your car, I'd drive slower. (I really do not have your car).
The structure of the second conditional is the following:
If + past simple, would/wouldn't + infinitive.
Do you remember how do we use FIRST CONDITIONAL? Think about what do you remember for the following session.
Let's start working! ;)
